Record Replay- Violent Femmes ‘Blister in the Sun’ [VIDEO]

I like to joke about Wisconsin being the largest county in Illinois. They call folks from Illinois F.I.B.s. Trust me when I tell you it does not stand for Fine Illinois Brothers.  The Badger State has always been a vacation spot for me or where we went to visit my grandparents. I'm not the only one either. For those of us in Illinois, it was a place for beer runs when the drinking age was only nineteen, concerts at Alpine Valley, fishing trips or a place to tear it up on a snowmobile in winter. So happy birthday to the Jim Morrison of states. Not due to trippy poetry, but the heroic intake of booze enjoyed by both the Lizard King and the home of the Violent Femmes. The Femmes hail from Milwaukee and have broke up and reformed a few times over the past thirty-plus years. I saw them once open for the Grateful Dead in Ohio. The Femmes, James Brown played loudly during bands followed by a killer Dead show at Buckeye Lake near Columbus...good times.
