We wind up a week's worth of Dead on the Brizz Record Bin with a song the band played live every year between 1970 and 1995, the year Jerry Garcia died. "Going Down the Road Feelin' Bad" is a cover song that many different artists have played, but the Dead made their own. It was a great workout for Garcia's guitar work and many times it would begin out of one song and/or drift into another. Occasionally it was played as a stand alone, and I'm betting was just about exclusively a final set song.

The song provides a bittersweet look at moving on, and though it could or should even be sad, Jerry's picking brightens up the mood nicely. So, as we bid goodnight to another work week, we head on down the road. Good luck getting those tickets to see the Grateful Dead, July 3-5 at Soldier Field. You can still mail-order, wait until they go on-sale to the general public on February 14, or try your luck at scoring a miracle ticket at the shows.

See ya in the parking lot!
