Illinois Police Investigate Major Damage To Golf Course
There are basically two types of golfers in this world. The kind who takes the game very seriously. The other ones just do it for fun. Of course, not everyone is into golf. That's me. It's funny because the majority of my friends love the game, but it's just not my thing.

I have participated in a few play days throughout the years. Once again, there are serious events, but also ones for fun. Back in the day, the fun ones could get completely out of control. People would get totally wasted, crash golf carts, and rip up the course. The courses put an end to those days. This unfortunate incident reminds me of those days.
Recently, a golf course in Evanston suffered thousands of dollars' worth of damage during late-night hours. The suspects stole golf carts from Northwestern University and went crazy with them on the course. The next day, the golf carts were found destroyed on a road near that location.

I know I'm not a detective, and I don't play one on TV, but this is what I think happened. Some students from Northwestern were out drinking. They took the golf carts for a joyride and ended up driving on the course. Since they were drunk, they caused all the damage.
According to CBS News...
Evanston police are investigating after vandals stole golf carts and drove them around a golf course, resulting in thousands of dollars in damage, on Saturday morning.
The cart was left with a missing wheel and flipped on its side.
The second cart, also abandoned, was found in the 2300 block of Sherman Avenue during the late afternoon/early evening.
