A thief in Illinois hit the lottery during a recent robbery when he stole a victim's case containing a very special and expensive item.

When you live and work in Chicago, the best way to get around is with public transportation. The problem is that some of the routes have gotten a little sketchy. You really have to be on alert the whole time.

A man was riding the CTA Blue Line when a thief grabbed his case and, after a fight, the suspect got away with it. Inside was the victim's violin. It was a handmade, one-of-a-kind-instrument worth at least $10,000. It's irreplaceable. I really hope he gets it back.

According to ABC 7 in Illinois, "A robber stole a valuable violin from someone on a CTA train in the Loop on Friday night, Chicago police said."
