If you are a fan of Halloween and enjoy going to parades, there is a town in Illinois that you must visit for the largest, longest, and spookiest parade in the tri-state area.

Small Illinois Town To Host Largest, Longest, And Spookiest Parade In The State

I really like Rockford, but sometimes you just need to get out of town for a little bit. There are a lot of fun places to visit in Illinois. One of my favorites is Galena. It's such a cool little town. You can grab yourself a great meal or walk around the neat little shops. Plus, several of the buildings are haunted. That's perfect for Halloween. They host a big event every year to celebrate the holiday.

This year is the 46th anniversary of their annual Halloween parade. It's a tradition. This event is considered the largest, longest, and spookiest parade in the tri-state area that includes Illinois, Iowa, and Wisconsin. So, put on your costumes, grab the family, and make the road trip. It's on actual Halloween (October 31st) from 6:30pm to 8pm. Get there early because there is plenty to see and do in Galena. You might even experience a paranormal encounter.
