U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at Chicago O’Hare International Airport seized a shipment of 200 counterfeit Cartier watches from Hong Kong valued at nearly $28 million, the agency announced on Wednesday.
A shipment of Cartier watches was on its way from Hong Kong to California when the airplane made a brief stop for customs at O'Hare Airport in Chicago. The U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers found something suspicious. It was 200 counterfeit watches valued at around $28 million. Luckily, they were confiscated, so no one got ripped off by that merchandise or seller.

How do you know if an item is counterfeit? If the deal seems too good to be true, then it is. Some things that are often found to be fake are jewelry, handbags, wallets, apparel, footwear, watches, and consumer electronics. The best thing to do is to purchase the merchandise from the actual company and not some dude on Facebook Marketplace.
