A Fake Robbery In Wisconsin Sent A Beloit Couple To Jail
Now, to set the record straight, I'm not a criminal, and I don't even play one on TV, but I still have an opinion on the matter. Crime doesn't pay, especially for the amateurs. First of all, you're not going to get away with it. That means you're going to spend some time in jail. Also, whatever you end up stealing is not going to make up for the fact that you just ruined your life. The proof is on the news every day. Even with the evidence out there, the thieves are still going to rob people and think they will get away with it.

I'm going to guess that this couple in Beloit is not going to win any academic awards anytime soon. I want to ask them how they thought they could get away with it. The woman had been stealing money from the restaurant where she was employed. The total had reached $22,000. Since it was such a large sum, the suspect was afraid of getting busted. That's when her boyfriend helped her stage a fake hold-up, so she could use the excuse that someone robbed her. The cops figured it out, and they will be spending time behind bars.
According to the Beloit Daily News...
Charles Bernard, 31, was sentenced to five years probation for his role in a staged robbery in a Beloit bank parking lot to cover up the fact that his girlfriend had stolen from a Janesville restaurant.
