A road in Illinois is shut down for several hours after a crash involving a truck spills pig parts all over the highway.

I've heard of roads being closed for several reasons. Especially, after an accident involving a semi-truck that dumps, it's payload all over the highway.

This incident that happened on Route 47 just outside of Chicago is very unique.

According to nbcchicago.com,

"Authorities say an intersection in an unincorporated area of northern Illinois was closed for eight hours after a crash involving two semi-trucks sent pig carcasses across the road. There were about 14,000 pounds of pig parts."

Even though having to avoid that area would be a big hassle, I think it's a much better alternative to having witnessed the scene.
