2 Local Ice Cream Shops to Open in Less Than 2 Weeks

Two of Northern Illinois favorite ice cream shops will be opening their doors for the first time this year.

I'm not going to lie to you, I'm obsessed with ice cream. Whew, it felt good to get that out!

Ice cream just brings me to my happy place, where nothing in the world is wrong and everything is oh, so right.

What are my favorite flavors you ask? It's Chocolate Peanut Butter and Mint Chocolate Chip.

I love when the weather gets warm because it's time for small mom and pop's ice cream shops to open up again and start selling their delicious treats.

I'm happy to announce the wait is almost over! Two of Northern Illinois' favorite ice cream shops will be opening in less than two weeks.

1. Dairyhaus in Rockton is set to open on April 1st this year.
2. DARI-Ripple in Belvidere will be opening even earlier on March 24th.
