For the discussion of Michael Jordan or LeBron James, who's the greatest?

The debate of who's the NBA GOAT is always a lively topic. It comes down to a pair of players. They're Michael Jordan and LeBron James. It's gone beyond a sports bar discussion between buddies. Now, it's been talked about many more places including movies, television, newspapers, magazines, internet, social media, and so much more.

In fact, with the documentary series, "The Last Dance" running now, the subject has been more frequent. I would guess unless you're a neutral NBA loyalist, your answer could be affected by many different factors like when you started watching the game and where you live to name a couple.

For me, my money is on Jordan. I observed his entire career. It doesn't hurt that I grew up a Bulls fan. Even without my hometown bias, I believe his stats speak for themselves.

What about the rest of the United States? Depending on what side of the aisle you sit on, the results might be surprising.

According to brobible.com,

"The sports gambling site BETonline decided to take a stab at the Michael Jordan GOAT debate. An astonishing close race ended with 26 states in favor of Jordan, and 24 states for James."

I'm surprised it's so close. I don't really put too much weight on surveys like this one. Too bad they couldn't play each other at the peak of their careers to answer the question once and for all.

What do you think?
