The G.O.A.T., Michael Jordan is now the owner of a NASCAR team. M.J. is already the owner of the NBA's Charlotte Bobcats.

According to ESPN Michael has teamed up with NASCAR driver Denny Hamlin, to field a NASCAR cup car, that will has Bubba Wallace as their driver. Micheal Jordan becomes the first Black principal owner of a NASCAR Cup team since the 1961 - 1973 team owned by Famer Wendel. Add in Bubba Wallace as the primary driver, and this is sports history.

Micheal Jordan historically stayed away from any political statements and never said too much about situations going on in society. The timing of this purchase and the way he is combining his love for racing and making a powerful cultural statement, is awesome.

"Historically, NASCAR has struggled with diversity, and there have been few Black owners, the timing seemed perfect, as NASCAR is evolving and embracing social change more and more." - Michael Jordan
