New Head Coach, new direction. Robbie Gould was sent packing and is no longer with the Chicago Bears. Was the end of last year a little rough for Robbie, yes. Has Robbie been a fantastic and productive member of The Bears for eleven years, no doubt about it.

Robbie Gould is a player rep, and makes really good coin as a place kicker. Do these things add to his removal? Maybe. Robbie is an "older" player that has been vocal in the past, does this have anything to do with him losing his job? Again, maybe.

Robbie posted a formal goodbye to Bears fans on his website it couldn't have been more classy and amazing. As a Bears fan I only wish the management of The Chicago Bears could have ended this a little bit classier. Usually when a veteran player is released, someone comments. A "we wish you luck in the future" at the least. Robbie received nothing but his walking papers.

Here is a portion of Robbie Gould's goodbye:

I know I have not been perfect, so I thank you for supporting me during the ups and downs of my career. Thank you for cheering for us when we won, and thank you for your words of encouragement when we didn't. I have the most amazing job in the entire world, and you have made it easy for me to love every single minute of my time here.

Robbie will find himself on another NFL roster and will no doubt stick it to the Bears at some point, Bear Down.
