When you live in Illinois, Wisconsin, or anywhere in the Midwest, you know that during the summer, you have to take advantage of the weather. The key is to spend as much time as possible outside. Luckily, there is plenty to keep you busy in this area. One of my favorite things to do during this time of year is going to see outdoor concerts. To me, it doesn't matter where, when, or who. Just being in the open air is all I need.

For the fourth year in a row, Beloit is taking part in the international Make Music Day, which is happening in over one thousand cities all around the world. It is a musical celebration for the kick-off of the summer solstice. This year, the day is June 21st. Bands and musicians will be performing throughout the town all day and night. The shows are free for anyone who wants to attend. This is a family-friendly event.
