A Speedway in Des Plaines is the "luckiest" spot to buy lottery tickets in Illinois, according to data compiled by casino.org.

 

The store also ranks No. 8 in the list of luckiest stores nationwide.

 

Des Plaines topped the list of luckiest cities in Illinois, with 36 jackpot wins totaling $1,337,479,504 in total prize money.

The next time I'm anywhere near Des Plaines, I'm going to stop by that gas station and pick up a handful of Illinois Lottery tickets. Then I can see for myself if that location is really that lucky when it comes to winning cash.
