Another monthly record was broken with legal marijuana sales in Illinois.

I think we can all agree, 2020 has been a very strange year. The unique events include pandemic, protests, unemployment, and economy issues to just name a few.

There has been one thing constantly growing in the state of Illinois. That is the sales of legal recreational marijuana. Since the new went into effect, the numbers have increased. Nothing has slowed it down.

According to shawmediaillinois.com,

"One of the few things unaffected by the coronavirus pandemic’s presence in Illinois has been recreational marijuana sales. The $47.6 million spent on the product in June was the highest single-month amount since recreational marijuana use became legal at the beginning of the year, and sales have increased each month since February even amid strict stay-at-home orders."

Think about how much more money that could have been made if there were actually enough dispensaries to cover the demand.
