I was born and raised a Chicago sports fan. I love all those teams. I've seen them play live many times. One of my favorite places to go is Wrigley Field. Besides baseball games, I've attended concerts, a Chicago Sting soccer game, and hockey.

Yes, I went to a hockey game at Wrigley Field. It was the Winter Classic on January 1st, 2009 when the Blackhawks played the Detroit Redwings. That was an amazing experience. I've been to many Hawks games at the Chicago Stadium and United Center but that day was special

You wouldn't think that Wrigley Field would be a good place for hockey but it really is, especially if you sit in the upper deck. The only problem was it got extremely cold because of the wind blowing off the lake.


That Winter Classic game was so successful that it was only a matter of time before hockey featuring the Blackhawks would return to Wrigley Field. This time on New Year's Eve against the St. Louis Blues. That's not all.

The Big Ten plans on playing men's and women's games this winter at Wrigley. The schools rumored to be playing are Wisconsin, Michigan State, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, and Penn State. That's very exciting news to hear.
