Two Men In Illinois Were Busted For Making Up Fake Multi-Million Dollar Robbery

According to Elmhurst Patch...
Two men have been arrested after they falsely claimed to Elmhurst police that millions of dollars in jewelry were stolen in an armed robbery, authorities said.
A pair of business partners in Elmhurst came up with a plan for a fake robbery. The two men started the whole scenario by driving their vehicle off the road as if it were forced by thieves. Then, they called 911 to report the robbery. When officers arrived on the scene, the suspects shared their made-up story of getting run off the road by the bandits. The report said that two million dollars worth of jewelry was stolen.

During the investigation, the local police discovered that the whole story was made up. Once they had all their ducks in a row, they arrested the suspects. Where they're going, they won't have to worry about making up any fake robberies anymore.
