Last year, we introduced the bald eagles of Decorah, IA to many people in the stateline. My Decorah insiders clued me in that the eagles are back and making babies. They don't hang around that nest over the winter months, but they have returned and made some repairs and built upon their home. The first egg is expected to be laid later this month or early March. Occasionally, they have overnight great horned owl visitors.

Here is the live stream of the nest. At this time, it is empty for the most part. Once the female lays an egg, then they will take shifts keeping it warm as the other goes out to get food for their growing family.

If you're trying to figure out who the mom is and who the dad is, check out this handy dandy video explaining the difference.
