Space is limited in Chicago, so many building owners come up with unique ways to use their rooftop, including for a soccer pitch.
Rooftop Soccer Field In Illinois
After college and in my 20s, several of my friends moved to Chicago, including areas like Wrigleyville and Lincoln Park. I was pretty much hanging out in the Windy City every weekend during those days. There were so many fun things to do.

I was always impressed with the use of rooftops since there was limited space. My friends had patios on the top of their buildings. Businesses had beer gardens, music venues, swimming pools, outdoor movie theaters, and so much more.
According to Skyline Pitch...
SKYLINE PITCH is Chicago's 1st rooftop soccer venue, offering guests of all ages the chance to TRAIN, PLAY, and CELEBRATE the game of soccer against the stunning backdrop of the Chicago skyline.
Operating from April to October, our facility at the NEWCITY Lifestyle and Entertainment district has become a beloved destination for soccer enthusiasts.

This reminds me of the rooftop roller hockey game in the movie "Clerks." The facility has leagues, pick-up games, and even training sessions. Who could've imagine ever playing soccer on a building rooftop, but it's possible.
Don't worry, the rooftop soccer pitch is surrounded by nets, so you don't have to worry about retrieving the ball from down below. Otherwise. it would be the option of when when friends and I would play baseball and the ball would go on the roof.
