In Macomb, the home of Western Illinois University, there is a very unique world record-breaking roadside attraction. It's the world's largest Monopoly board. Now, that is definitely worth a road trip to check out and get a selfie to post on social media.
It's a little more than a great photo op. It honors the creator of Monopoly, Elizabeth “Lizzie” Magie-Phillips, who is from Macomb. You can also actually play on this unique board through an app on your phone. It's free to visit. The attraction includes the board, dice, and the other famous game pieces.
