‘A League of Their Own’ Cast Reunited with Original Rockford Peaches Player

The Rockford Peaches reunited to play baseball one more time, after last playing 24 years ago on the big screen.

We have many things to be proud of here in Rockford and women's baseball is no exception.

Movies like The Sandlot, Major League and Bull Durham are great but none are more special to us than A League of Their Own.

May 3rd - 8th of this year, the Bentonville Film Festival held in Bentonville, Arkansas brought together the Rockford Peaches one more time.

The festival is co-founded by Geena Davis, who played Dottie Hinson in A League of Their Own. Cast members Tracy Reiner (Betty “Betty Spaghetti” Horn), Anne Ramsay (Helen Haley), Freddie Simpson (Ellen Sue Gotlander), Megan Cavanaugh (Marla Hooch), and Patti Pelton (Marbleann Wilkenson) were on hand for the event as well.

The Rockford Peaches from A League of Their Own played a game of softball and were joined by Gina Casey, an original Rockford Peach.

What an incredible event! I love seeing them together again! Now excuse me, I need to go watch A League of Their Own again!
