Rockford Peaches Documentary Debuts in Rockford [VIDEO]

A Team of Their Own is even better than A League of Their Own.

There's no crying in baseball, but I'm sure there were many tears after watching A Team of Their Own yesterday at Midway Village.

Grand Valley State University, over the course of thirteen years, worked tirelessly to bring this documentary to life. This documentary tells the story of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League through the eyes of the women who played in it between 1943 and 1954.

The documentary is being shown in select cities across the country. The next viewing are:

November 10: Grand Rapids, Michigan at the Grand Rapids Public Museum

November 11: Milwaukee, Wisconsin at the Marcus Southgate Theater

November 21: Racine, Wisconsin at the SC Johnson Golden Rondelle Theatre

April 11: Kalamazoo, Michigan at the Kalamazoo Valley Stryke Theater
