No one likes to obey street signs, but someone in Wisconsin really hates them because you're not going to believe what they did to a bunch of them in one night.

I think enough time has passed, so I won't get in trouble anymore. When I was in high school, I had a friend who was an expert at stealing street signs. If we were bored and had nothing to do, there's a good chance we would nab a couple just for kicks. It wasn't the smartest thing to do, but we were dumb kids.

I remember seeing street signs filled with graffiti back in the day. Sometimes, pulled out of the ground. I think many drivers get tired of following the rules of the road, so they take it out on those poor signs. Recently, I heard a story about someone in Wisconsin who took street sign vandalism to the next level.

In Crawford County, Wisconsin, someone destroyed over 40 road signs by shooting them up with a shotgun. Now, that's what I call complete hatred of street signs. Who would do something like that?

According to the Crawford County Sheriff's Office...

On Tuesday, November 18th, 2025, the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office initially received a report of criminal damage to numerous road signs.

 

 

In the past week or so, approximately 40 road signs have been shot with shotguns and rifles along STH 179, CTH D, Hook Hill Road, Duha Ridge Road, CTH E, Progressive Ridge Road, and Crowley Hill Road in the Townships of Eastman and Seneca.
