Stroll on State is such a great event in Rockford and it takes lots of hard work from many volunteers. Here's a look at how they get it ready for the big day.

I'm having such a good time experiencing new things in our community with "Things Double T Has Never Done In Rockford." Andrea from the Rockford Area Convention and Visitors Bureau has been a great guide for this journey.

I was really excited for this week. I got to go behind the scenes of the set-up for Stroll on State. I had such a great time there last year, I thought it would be awesome to see how it all works. It's amazing all the hard work that the many volunteers do to make sure Rockford has an incredible holiday kick-off event.

I felt very important because I was invited to help decorate the Christmas tree. Remember it's tall, so I even got to ride a lift up to put on lights. What a special experience.

I also rode around in the hot choco/coffee van, to bring some refreshments to the several people helping out.

We give you a preview of some of the attractions and chat with a couple of volunteers including John Groh, the President and CEO of the RACVB.

You might even get a couple of secret tips.

I hope you enjoy the video of Stroll of State.
