The Jimi Hendrix of Chili [Tasty Pic]

I made a real fine batch of chili this weekend. Maybe you caught the aroma around town on Sunday as it was bubbling away on my stove. My eleven year-old son helped me brown the meat, mix in the tomato sauce, spices, peppers and onions. I may have added a smidge too much cilantro, but it was still the greatest chili ever made.

You think you can do better? I doubt it, but you can try at Whiff 'n Chili at Aviators Stadium on Saturday, October 4. Once again, the field will be rocking with the area's only whiffle ball tournament and the air will be heavy with dozens of chili cooks  bringing their best to the table.

If you want to be a chili cook, hurry up! We need your registration by the end of the day on Wednesday, September 17. That's the day after tomorrow!

Just like watching Hendrix play guitar will make you not want to even bother to try to play one yourself, my chili is very intimidating. Look at it.
