Social Media Goes Crazy Over Lion Roaming Milwaukee

A lion has been on the loose for days in Milwaukee, inspiring the hashtag #mkelion.

If you haven't heard, a lion (or as some are calling it, a lion-like creature) has been on the loose for at least a few days. According to JSOnline.com, the lion was seen both Saturday and Sunday. Police and wildlife experts are yet to catch the animal.

I don't know about you but a lion roaming around my back yard would scare the proverbial poop out of me.

My first thought about a lion roaming Milwaukee was that it had escaped from the zoo. But Milwaukee zoo squashed that rumor immediately.

This 'lion' could be a mail order pet, which is actually legal in Milwaukee. (WHAT!?)

This lion has been all over social media, even inspiring the hashtag #mkelion. Some of the postings are hilarious.

Hold on... I was just scrolling around Twitter and the Milwaukee Lion even has it's own Twitter handle!

I personally hope that the lion is caught safely and humanely and that no one gets hurt.
