So Wait Thunderstorms on Christmas?

The freezing temps, the snow fall, we are ready for a white Christmas right?

The past couple weeks we have really prepared ourselves for what everyone wants. Waking up on Christmas morning to snow covered grounds. Looking out the window as the kids are opening gifts and it looks like that perfect holiday greeting card.

But what if there are thunderstorms on Christmas morning? Well according to WQAD in the Quad Cities a thunderstorm filled Christmas may be heading our way.

Eric Sorensen (former Rockford weather guy) paints the picture of what could be a Christmas filled with showers and thunderstorms. It appears that the severe storms will be south of us, but what if those creep up into Northern Illinois for Christmas? Could you imaging a Christmas Day where it is raining, maybe some thunder and lightning?
