Rockford East High School Graduate Wins College Football Award
An alumnus of the Rockford East High School football program has won a college football award.
The E-Rab Nation is proud of Marcus Hayes.
While playing football for East High School in Rockford, he was "All NIC-10" for football.
Hayes is now a member of the New Mexico University Lobos football team and his success in the sport continues.
According to rockfordsportscoalition.org,
"Marcus Hayes was named Mountain West Defensive Player of the Week for a dominating performance Saturday. Hayes recorded four tackles and had a pair of interceptions, including returning one for a 60-yard touchdown."
"Hayes is hardly a one-hit wonder for New Mexico. According to the graders at Pro Football Focus, Hayes is the No. 4 run defender in all of Division 1 college football so far this year."
Congratulations to Marcus!
