Did this family in Illinois spot a cougar in their backyard?

I don't know if it just me, but it seems like I've seen quite a few animals wandering around Rockford lately.

Just yesterday, on the way to work I saw a huge raccoon. On the way home, I had to stop at an intersection for turkeys. Of course, I saw many dogs being walking it my neighborhood. There was a pair of ducks in the creek next to my house. I noticed an outdoor cat spying on the ducks. Then I was sitting on my front porch and a fox ran by.

I thought it was pretty amazing. I think the scariest wild animal I've ever seen on the loose in Rockford is a coyote. Never any big cats. Apparently, there's a family in Gurnee, Illinois that thought they spotted a cougar in their backyard.

According to wgntv.com,

"There was a motion detector signal telling me one of the cameras caught something. It’s not the clearest video, but when it’s slowed down and zoomed in, the video shows a large cat. "

"An expert at the Brookfield Zoo said This looks like a heavily furred, which makes sense given a winter coat, puma or cougar."
