Nearby College Town Named Best For ‘Food/Drink’ In America

If you went to college you know full well that most of your meals and drinks were cheap and easy. However, one nearby college town takes food and drink to the Nth degree.

A new list from Thrillist ranked the "13 Best College Towns in America for Food/Drink."

At the top of the list was Madison, Wisconsin home of the University of Wisconsin.

According to Thrillist, "Wisconsin alums are so apt to boast about all the beers they consumed on the picturesque Memorial Union Terrace that you wonder if they ever went anywhere else (to be fair, it’s pretty sweet). But there’s also plenty of non-university affiliated eating and drinking that’s not to be missed."

The list of places they say you need to drink at include:

• One Barrel
• Karben 4
• Vintage Brewing
• Merchant
• The Old Fashioned

Thrillist also listed a bunch of places to eat at while in Madison:

• L'Etoile
• Graze
• Heritage Tavern
• Fromagination
• Mickies Dairy Bar

Truth be told, I haven't spent much time in Madison during my time in Rockford. I have to tell you the bars and restaurants featured above are making me hungry...and thirsty.
