Lovie Smith Makes Shocking Change In Champaign

We'll have to wait and see how this affects recruiting for the University of Illinois. 

Lovie Smith has been rocking the "Santa beard" look for about 2 years now. I personally thought it looked great and it had become a bit of a trademark look for the former Bears coach.

Then he just posts that photo out of the blue yesterday and it definitely caused some ripples on the internet.

This is kind of where we are right now with sports. A B1G coach shaving his beard is easily a top 10 national sports story. We really need some live-action soon.

RIP Lovie's beard. I'll remember you fondly.
