Why do I feel some type of way every time I see someone wearing shorts in the middle of winter?  I mean, it's below zero outside and you know some guy in Illinois is wearing his favorite cargo shorts to the grocery store right now.

First off, I'm always insanely cold.  Anybody else?  The backseat of my car is where I store blankets on top of more blankets because I have a huge fear of being stranded in my car somewhere extremely cold.

I just can't imagine people enjoying walking around with their knees exposed to the chilling breeze.  Even at the bus stop outside of my house there's 5 kids with shorts and a t-shirt on like it's not the MIDDLE OF FEBRUARY.

Now, remember in high school when that one guy would wear shorts with crew socks and slides in the dead of winter?  I know good and well his leg hairs were standing up just walking outside.

This leads me to the question, "Why are you wearing shorts in the middle of winter?"

I was talking with a friend who lives in Illinois and he said, "the shorts are making their first appearance of the year" and then told me anytime the temperature is over 40 degrees, he whips those babies out. When the weather gets slightly above 40ish degrees we tend to leave the house without a huge winter coat, but shorts? C'mon.

According to the Today Show, they had a similar question. Some of their viewers said they allow their sons to wear shorts in the winter because they're pretty husky or have a lot of leg hair to keep them warm.  Whether it's 80 degrees or 5 degrees, their sons insist on wearing shorts.

I guess I'm just still wondering WHY?  This is a question I think the world deserves to know and someone right now, wearing shorts knee deep in snow, has the answer we've been looking for.  Please just put some pants on for just a few more months.  I'm begging you.
