I'm already having trouble remembering when I have to renew my license plate sticker, now this too!

I don't mean to complain, but I'm going to. My brain isn't working properly and I can barely remember what I had for breakfast this morning and that was two hours ago.

Illinois has already decided that it has stopped sending out paper reminders in the mail about when you should renew your license plate stickers.

It put a lot of people in panic when the news was announced last year as I must not be the only one with a terrible memory.

According to The Chicago Tribune, Illinois will also no longer be notifying people when they need to take their cars in for an emissions test.

This will begin for drivers whose license plates expire in March or later.

In the past you had to get an emissions test before you can get your new license plate sticker. Now, I realize in Rockford and the surrounding areas, an emissions test isn't necessary... but big city folk and surrounding suburbs, it is mandatory.

Now, motorists will be allowed to renew their plates without an emissions test until the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency starts sending out reminders again.
