Suspect in Illinois attempts to distract officers by tossing cocaine at them while trying to escape.

Luckily, I've never been in this situation. I'm sure when a suspect is about to get arrested, they'll do just about anything to distract the police to avoid getting busted. Some things make more sense than others.

According to nwherald.com,

"A Carpentersville man has been sentenced to 11 years in prison after police said he tried to eat a stash of cocaine to conceal it from police, then threw the remaining drugs at an officer who was there to search the man’s home."

"As police approached the home, the suspect closed and locked his door. Once inside, officers found him in his bedroom “shoving cocaine into his mouth." He proceeded to “throw cocaine” in the face of one officer who was approaching him."

I'll give him an "A" for the attempt but I don't think a light powdery substance is going to stop anyone.
