
Group Of Masked Villains Steal Several Bottles Of Booze
A unique gang of thieves busted into a liquor store in Illinois and stole many bottles of booze.

I remember hearing about this guy back when I was in high school. On the weekends, when he wanted beer for a party, he would steal it. He wasn't old enough to buy booze, plus he didn't have the cash to pay for it anyway.

He had a strange method of stealing beer. He would take off his shirt and use it as a mask to cover his face. Yes, he would go into the store shirtless. His favorite target was convenience stores. Back in those days, they didn't have security cameras.

The clerk was stuck behind that big counter, so he couldn't get out fast enough to chase the thief. There was usually a display with cases of beer right in front. He would run in, quickly grab the brewski, then be out the door in seconds. He never got busted.
It's funny nowadays; the shoplifter will wander around the store and, of course, end up on the security footage. They do something totally obvious like shove a bottle of booze in their jacket and try to run out. Even worse, they fill a cart and try to take off. They always get caught and arrested.

At least in this case, they tried something different. A whole group of thieves got together. They wore masks to hide their identity. Then, they busted the glass door of the liquor store. The suspects grabbed a bunch of bottles of booze and took off. No interference or witnesses; just in and out.
An Illinois police officer was on patrol and spotted a couple of suspicious vehicles. The squad followed for a bit, but they got away. The cop went back to the scene of the crime and found the smashed glass door. It won't be long before they catch the thieves.
According to Patch in Illinois, "A group of seven to eight thieves robbed an Elk Grove Village liquor store early Monday morning. According to police, there is no threat to the community."
