Illinois Thieves Using Shocking New Method To Steal Cars
Illinois thieves will do just about anything to steal and you're not going to believe their new way to take vehicles in Chicago.
Crime Is A Major Problem In Illinois
Is it just me or does it seem like crime is getting much worse every day throughout Illinois? Thieves are stealing anything and everything. One thing that has been targeted more heavily in the past several months is cars, especially in Chicago. It doesn't even matter what type of vehicle or where it is.
New Method Of Stealing Cars In Illinois
Thieves in Illinois have gotten much braver. They're willing to take that extra risk to get a big score. Over the last couple of years, they've been using the smash and grab. They steal a car and drive it through the front door of a store or business. The suspects enter through the smashed wall or window and take as much as they can.
They are now using a spin-off of the smash and grab to steal cars. The thieves are going to repair shops in the middle of the night. The suspects busted through a window with a rock. Of course, there are always vehicles that take a few days to fix. Those bad guys find the keys and then take off with the wheels. It's a quick in and out.
Smash-and-grab thieves have targeted nearly a dozen Chicago auto repair shops, stealing keys and in some cases vehicles.
The thieves used a brick or large rock to smash the one business's windows and were in and out in less than three minutes.
