Hole-In-One At Abandoned Illinois Mini-Golf Course Is Challenging
An abandoned mini-golf course in Illinois makes getting a hole-in-one challenging.
Mini-Golf Courses Are Fun Places To Hang Out
Before my friends and I could drive and really go anywhere on our own, we spent a lot of time at mini-golf courses. We could get dropped off by our parents and spend hours there because there was so much to do.
It was also a great place to take a girl on a date.
Back in those days, most of the places were golf and games. Kind of like the set-up at Volcano Falls. There were multiple activities besides mini-golf.
There were usually batting cages, videos games, go-carts, and so much more. Plus, a snack bar if you got hungry.
Golf And Game Type Businesses Started Going Out Of Business
I remember golf and game-type places used to be everywhere. Unfortunately, the competition was tough and some of them started closing down.
Also, the kids' interest in going slowly went away. Many of the locations were on prime property and worth a lot of many, so the owners sold out to developers.
Rarely Are Out Of Business Mini-Golf Courses Left Standing
I found this video of an abandoned mini-golf course which is pretty unusual because they are not normally left standing. Someone will usually knock it down to build another business.
It is pretty cool that this one is still there to check out. Though it is in pretty bad shape, I bet it would not take too much to get it back up and running.
Play Mini-Golf For Free With No Wait
In my younger days, I have a feeling my friends and I would sneak into this abandoned course to play mini-golf for free.
Plus, for a bonus, there is no wait. I wonder if you would score your games differently.
