If you thought "My dog ate my homework" was a bad excuse, what about "A goat ate my paperwork?"

The Douglas County deputy was serving papers near Douglasville, Georgia when she heard something in her patrol car, and spotted a goat climbing into the driver's side.

The goat walked around the inside of the squad car, ate some paperwork, knocked over a drink, and then hopped out and knocked the deputy to the ground.

The sheriff's office explained in a Facebook post that the deputy leaves their door open in these situations, because often times they will have to escape an aggressive dog, but this was the first time they knew of someone dealing with an aggressive goat.

Officers said the deputy wasn't physically harmed, and was able to recover some of the soggy paperwork before the animal ran away.
