Andres Feliz is proving to be quite the leader on and off the court.

Feliz was one of the (many) bright spots for Illinois basketball. The 6'2" guard didn't always fill the stat sheet but he was a senior leader on the floor that seemed to have a nose for the ball.

He continued to make Illini fans proud in the alumni tournament that was just held in Columbus over the Fourth of July weekend. Averaging the second-most rebounds in a game for the tournament, which is quite impressive considering he was one of the shorter guys on the floor.

Then the video above surfaced of him and his wife raising over $7K for the needy in the Dominican Republic and then going there to help distribute supplies.

As a transfer student, Andres didn't spend a lot of time in Champaign but his efforts on and off the court have definitely made him a fan favorite of any player that has donned the orange and blue.
