Experience Shakespeare Like Never Before With A Tipsy Twist
You might not be into entertainment like theater or poetry, but there is a new Shakespeare production happening in Illinois, and it's guaranteed to make you laugh.
Drunk Shakespeare Is The Hottest New Stage Production In Chicago
I'm not a serious theater, play, or musical fan, though I have been to some productions in my life. It's been mostly for mainstream style shows. I enjoyed going to them and had some fun with family. The hardcore shows like Shakespeare are a little too serious for me, but I understand how people enjoy going. I just heard about a new one that is running now in Chicago, and I'm interested in checking it out.

According to Drunk Shakespeare...
The stage is set in a hidden venue. Five professional actors meet as members of The Drunk Shakespeare Society. One of them has 5 shots of whiskey and then attempts to perform a major role in a Shakespearean play.
Hilarity and mayhem ensue while the four sober actors try and keep the script on track. Every show is different depending on who is drinking… and what they’re drinking!
This new production in Chicago is currently running at The Lion Theatre, which is located at 182 North Wabash in the Loop area of the city. Don't freak out when I mention Shakespeare. This is totally different from what you've ever experienced before. The name of the production is called Drunk Shakespeare. You don't have to be familiar with his work to enjoy the show.

The show stars five actors who do Romeo and Juliet, except their version is a little bit different. Each performance, one of the actors is randomly chosen to take five shots of whiskey before they take the stage. Each play is a completely different experience. This serious story then becomes a comedy. Don't worry, the audience is allowed to drink too.
