Brewers Fans Gave Player A Nickname Already Claimed By WWE
There is a battle over a nickname between a Milwaukee Brewers baseball player and a WWE Superstar, but who deserves to use it more?
WWE Superstar Accuses Milwaukee Brewers Player Of Stealing His Nickname
I know a thing or two about nicknames. First of all, I don't think you can make one up for yourself. It was to be given to you. I go by a nickname on the radio, but I didn't come up with "Double T"; a former co-worker started calling me that many years ago. I've actually had a nickname for a long time. Back in high school, all of my friends started calling me "T." Also, I believe more than one person can have the same nickname; there's no ownership. It's not ideal, but sometimes that happens.

According to On Milwaukee...
Since the Brewers' Misiorowski made his debut, and since has become known for pitches that have touched triple digits more frequently than any starter in MLB history, he's been nicknamed "The Miz" by fans and broadcasters. WWE star The Miz, born Michael Mizanin, has held the nickname throughout his two-decade wrestling career.

Now, in this case, two famous people are using the same nickname, "The Miz." Of course, most of us are familiar with the WWE Superstar "The Miz," whose real name is Michael Mizanin. He started using that nickname as his alter ego while on MTV's Real World. He came up with it himself.

The 2nd person known as "The Miz" is Milwaukee Brewers star pitcher Jacob Misiorowski. He was given the name by the team's broadcasters and the fans.
Here's my thought on the situation. WWE's "Miz" has had the nickname much longer, and he has built a great career in pro wrestling, but he gave himself the name. The Brewer's "Miz" is fairly new to the name, but someone else gave it to them. In both situations, it was derived from their last names. There is a chance that Misiorowski's nickname was in honor of the WWE Star. Even though it's not ideal, I think they both can keep it. Plus, it makes for a fun sports rivalry.
