Wherever you can from or grew up, I'm pretty sure you, your family, and friends from back in the day have their favorite restaurants back in your hometown. Most likely, they have been there for generations. Every time I go to visit my mom in the suburbs, I hit one of my favorite places from when I was a kid.

If a crown exists for operating the United State’s longest-running Chinese food restaurant, Tom Fong and Amanda Fong, owners of Janesville’s Cozy Inn, now wear it.

 

There's a place like that in Janesville. It's a restaurant called Cozy Inn. Many residents have been going there for years. It's definitely been a community favorite for years. It has long been the oldest Chinese restaurant in Wisconsin and the second oldest in the United States. Well, until recently.

A Chinese restaurant in Butte, Montana, called Pekin Noodle Parlor, had closed down. It was in business for 115 years. That's an awesome run for any business, let alone a restaurant. They were the longest-running Chinese restaurant in the United States. Now that they're gone, there is a new title holder. That is now Cozy Inn from Janesville. They have been in business for 104 years and don't plan on stopping anytime soon.
