Bradie Tennell, a 19 year-old from Carpentersville, has earned herself a spot on the 2018 Winter Olympic Skating Team. She claimed her spot on the U.S. team by wining the U.S. Figure Skating Championships the first week of January in San Jose, CA.

For the last decade she's been training with coaches at Twin Rinks Arena in Buffalo Grove, IL. She wanted to be closer to home that's why she chose this rink to train at. Most of the top skaters in the country opt to train in California or Colorado. Tennell trains for hours a day at Twin Rinks, along with other area hopefuls.

Bradie Tennell, along with Mirai Nagasu and Karen Chen, will represent the U.S.A. next month in  Pyeongchang for the 2018 Winter Olympic Games.
