I absolutely loved Christmas as a kid. My parents did a great job celebrating this special holiday. I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago so there were so many amazing events to check out during the month of December.

I especially enjoyed going to the Museum of Science and Industry. If you've never been there during the holidays I highly recommend it. They truly have the best Christmas display in Illinois. It will blow you away.

Each year, the Museum of Science and Industry hosts "Christmas Trees From Around The World." Organizations from around the city decorate a tree-themed after their own culture. It's fun and educational a the same time.

The only thing is that it's always really crowded. If you don't have any little ones it can be a bit much for adults with so many kids running all around the place. The museum understands that a situation like that isn't for everyone.

If you want to visit these amazing Christmas decorations but want to avoid children, you're in luck. The Museum of Science and Industry hosts a "Naughty or Nice" 21 and older event. Even Santa and Krampus will be there if you would like to get your own picture with them. The event is on December 12th from 6 pm to 10 pm.
