Before I was a dad, I didn't really care about working during the holidays. After my daughter was born, it was all about spending time with her. So, I would take the last couple of weeks of the year off to hang out with my family.

Each year, I try to find a couple of fun things for us to do. Most of the time, we would head into Chicago for the day. Sometimes we would go shopping, explore, check out some attractions, or even have a nice meal. One of our favorite things to do during the holidays is go to Navy Pier for the Winter WonderFest. It's so much fun.
