WI Pig Escapes From Home & You Won’t Believe How Police Catch Him
The Wisconsin police used the oldest trick in the book to finally capture a pig that was on the loose.
Stories Of Animals On The Loose In Wisconsin
If you follow any sort of social media, then it's most likely you've seen posts about missing pets. The usual scenario is they somehow get out of their homes and take off. It's like an inmate escaping from prison. There's no waiting around, they're gone. Unfortunately, the owners don't normally notice right away so the animals have a head start towards freedom.

Sometimes the creature involved is a wild animal. That seems to be happening a lot more lately. Think about all the bear sightings this summer already throughout Wisconsin. Those are a little more dangerous because you don't know how they'll react.
Only In Wisconsin
This isn't the kind of pet you're going to see just anywhere, especially in Illinois. This is definitely a Wisconsin thing. Where else is somebody going to have a 300-pound potbellied pig for a pet? I know, insert joke here because that punchline is way too easy. That's a really big animal to keep at your house.
300-Pound Potbellied Pig Escapes From Wisconsin Home
This incident happened in Green Bay. Again, insert your joke here. They just write themselves. The pig's name is Albert. One of his owners left the gate of his pen open and the animal decided to take himself on a walk. Could you imagine seeing a big hog like this one wandering down the street? That could be a little scary.

Wisconsin Police Use Oldest Trick In Book To Catch Loose Pig
The Green Bay police were having a difficult time capturing the loose pig. Then, the owner had a brilliant idea. She pulled out some sweet treats which her pet loves. They were able to lead the animal home with the help of fruit snacks. Don't worry, Albert was awarded some when he was back home safely. People have been bribing their pets with food for years. I'm glad it still works.
