Why My Sister Needs to Borrow A Coffin For a Few Hours…

I'm scrolling through Facebook when I stumble upon my sister's post reading: "anyone have a coffin I can borrow for a few hours this week?" Ugh, what?

Let me tell you a bit about my sister Sara. She works REALLY hard managing a restaurant. She loves shopping. She LOVES the show Supernatural. She has clearly lost her mind.

Over the last 24 hours or so, her Facebook news feed has been a bit... strange.

First she wrote:

"anyone have a coffin I can borrow for a few hours this week?"

Then,

"Who is in/near Bellingham, WA that I know?!?!"

And finally,

"does anyone have a zoot suit or know where I can borrow one?"

Ugh... Sara? What in the world are you up to?

Turns out, you may quite possibly be seeing very strange requests flooding your Facebook news feeds as well.

Why? Well, it is that time of year again, Gishwhes Time!

If you aren't familiar with actor Misha Collins or his world famous Gishwhes scavenger hunt, then all of this makes zero sense to you.

In a nut shell, Misha Collins is an actor on Supernatural. He organizes this GIANT Gishwhes scavenger hunt. Each year, thousands of players from all over the world compete. Here, they meet new friends, create weird and beautiful art both online and in the world and do incredible acts of kindness. To make it even more awesome, it brings awareness to many different types of charities as well!

After the week long activities are completed, the winning team is treated to a once in a lifetime opportunity with Misha himself. This year, the winning team will go to Iceland for dog sledding on a glacier, partying inside a volcano and thermal hot springs water flights.

HOW COOL IS THAT!

I just love the idea of bringing strangers and friends together to create something beautiful, which is exactly what they do.

I can't wait to see what my sister and her team come up with this year. After all, this is unlike any scavenger hunt you have ever seen or heard of before.

But no seriously, does anyone have a coffin my sister can borrow for a few hours this week?
