Whatever Happened to the Movie Projectors at The Coronado?

For years and years, the Coronado showed movies, what became of the movie projectors?

Before the renovation of the theatre started, officer Matthew Gibbons of the Rockford Police Department inquired about the movie projector room and its contents.

After being allowed into the projector room, Officer Gibbons noticed that all of the film equipment was still there. None of the projectors were working, but it was all there.

Officer Gibbons was told that if he made a donation to Friends of The Coronado that the equipment was his, or it was going to be tossed. With that the restore and rebuild project began.
