2020 was a terrible year for the service industry. Life changed as we know it when it comes to bars and restaurants.

Locally, so many places have been affected, and even had to close their doors due to the pandemic. The Office Nightclub suffered greatly when the pandemic hit in 2020. But The Barstool Fund's goal is to donate money to businesses who have been suffering.

The Office Nightclub was chosen as part of the Barstool Fund and they got the exciting call from Dave Portnoy who is in charge of the program this week. Here's how that emotional facetime went down -

So The Office Nightclub sent in a video to Barstool to hopefully get chosen to have some money raised for them. And it worked! Dave Portnoy who is in charge of The Barstool Fund really saw how important the venue is to Rockford and put The Office Nightclub on the Barstool Fund page.

According to owners, they’ve lost about 67% of their revenue in the last year. So any help they can get means a lot. But to get this kind of help and recognition is so special. The Barstool Fund has also helped a couple other Rockford businesses as well.

It's so cool to see such a big brand show some local love to Rockford. The program has helped over 250 small businesses and raised over $36 Million. If you are a small business who wants to be considered or if you want to donate you can do that here.
