One Of A Kind Items Confiscated By Security At Illinois Airport
Could you imagine what unusual items airport security finds in the luggage?
Flying Could Be Worst And Best Way To Travel
When I travel, I usually like to fly. I hate driving in the car for long periods of time. Plus, my days off are limited. I don't want to waste it behind the wheel for a few days. On the other hand, going through an airport has become a big hassle. Especially, when it comes to security checks. I guess it just matters which annoys you more.
Know Before You Go Through Airport Security
I understand that going through airport security is a pain in the neck but it doesn't have to be a horrible experience. The list of prohibited items is long but they haven't changed too much over the past few years. You can find it all over the internet. They're posted before you actually go through the scanners. Plus, a lot of it is common sense.
No, Accuse For Bringing Prohibited Things Through Airport Security
Okay, sometimes you might forget to take your nail clippers out of your bag but that's pretty innocent. For the most part, you should know better. If you get busted with a sword in your carry-on and you say, "I didn't know." I have to call B.S. on that one. You're just trying to be shady.
Unusual Prohibited Items Confiscated At O'Hare Airport
Recently, a traveler tried getting through O'Hare security with some strange items. Here's what TSA discovered in his carry-on bag.
- Screwdriver (not sure how this one gets into a carry-on bag)
- Knife (okay not too crazy yet, maybe left in the bag after camping trip)
- Another Knife (I can understand one but not two)
- Meat Cleaver (okay, now that's basically three knives in one bag)
- Saw Blade (unless it's painted with a barn on it to hang on a kitchen wall, there's no excuse)
TSA said that the passenger said he didn't know the items were prohibited in carry-on bags.
The passenger decided to abandon the items and catch his flight.
TSA said the passenger could face local criminal charges and a federal civil penalty.
It's not just Illinois. Wisconsin had some issues too. Check out these items discovered at the Milwaukee airport, HERE.
